At the Great Lakes International Marine Training Centre at Georgian College in Owen Sound, Ontario, our three-year Marine Engineering and Marine Navigation co-op programs boast a progressive mix of skills training, shipboard training and academic studies like navigation training in our marine simulators.

For the past several months, an extensive $8-million renovation to upgrade and modernize the facilities and training equipment at its Great Lakes International Marine Training Centre (GLIMTC) has been taking place to enhance hands-on experiences.

Canadian shipping companies support these programs by providing a variety of inland and coastal placements for cadet work terms, which can lead to employment upon graduation.
